The IoT Edge Platform BITMOTECO supports companies in networking, individually analyzing and visualizing data from different sources. The product enables easy networking between and within automation levels. Through on-the-edge data processing, a decentralized network for complex functionalities can be spanned, in which the user retains complete control over his data. The BITMOTECO Edge is easy to configure and can be used out-of-the-box.

The BITMOTECO Edge is equipped with the Node-RED, Grafana, influxDB, Mosquitto, ChirpStack and PostgreSQL modules. In addition, there are a variety of interfaces such as MQTT, OPC-UA, MTConnect, Modbus and REST-API, as well as its own LoRaWAN network server and other interfaces such as IO-Link, Profinet, Profibus, KNX, BACnet. With its interdisciplinary approach, BITMOTECO Edge gives you flexible options for integrating AI and the cloud into your system. You can program your own analyses and functions with Node-RED in JavaScript.

More functionality with the SDK (Software Development Kit)

The SDK (Software Development Kit) enables any containerizable software components to be combined into a module, regardless of whether one or more container images are used. The only requirement is that OCI containers are used. There is flexibility in the choice of programming languages, so that C++, Python, Go or Node.js can be used, for example. Within a module, it is possible to operate different application components, such as backend and frontend, in separate containers that can still be managed efficiently together. In addition, the SDK enables the development of customized applications as independent modules for the BITMOTECOsystem. This includes the possibility of integrating additional interfaces or specific (AI) calculations and analyses that are equipped with user-defined interfaces.

All data can then be saved with the integrated decentralized time series database (influxdb) or the relational database (PostgreSQL) and processed with various ready-made or custom analyses and functions. You then use this data, simply prepared with the integrated visualization tool (Grafana), and make individual dashboards available wherever they are needed in your network. Regardless of whether these dashboards are only to be made available to a user-specific group or role, you have the right product for the job.
