The Dragino LWL02 is a LoRaWAN leakage sensor. If there is water between the two metal probes, the LWL02 indicates a water leak and sends an uplink via the LoRaWAN network to the backend. Here the event is logged and an alarm is triggered if necessary. The LWL02 is powered by 2 x AAA batteries and is intended for long-term use. We recommend the use of lithium batteries to transmit 16,000 to 70,000 uplink packets. The batteries can be easily replaced through the easy to open housing. The sensor also counts water leak times and calculates the duration of the last water leak. The user can disable the uplinks for each water leak event, instead the device can count each event and send the uplink regularly.
