HARVY2 from DeZem is an advanced wireless LoRaWAN current sensor that does not require a battery or external power supply. It uses the principle of energy harvesting to obtain the required energy from the magnetic field on the electrical conductor. This makes it self-sufficient and maintenance-free.
The sensor has four inputs for versatile monitoring and can detect RMS currents in electrical main or sub-distribution boards as well as directly on the systems. Installation is quick and easy thanks to the connection of up to four deZem hinged current transformers.
The Harvy2 can also be used with a deZem voltage transformer to determine active power and other measured values for all three three-phase phases. The recorded data is transmitted to an IoT platform where it can be visualized and used.
The sensor has an intelligent event filter which, for example, maps the inrush currents of systems to the second. The measured values can also be read out in a fixed time grid, even synchronously for globally distributed measuring points.
The configuration of all parameters and firmware updates can be carried out via an intuitive web interface using USB-C. Decoders for various IoT platforms are provided by deZem.
